Queen's Bath, Hampi

A large royal bathing pool structure in the royal centre, listed by hampi.in as free to enter.

Overview

The Queen's Bath is a quiet stop among the places to visit in Hampi's royal centre. Entry is reported free but not officially confirmed.

The Queen's Bath is a bathing pool structure in the royal centre of Hampi, listed by OpenStreetMap as the Pushkarini or Queen's Bath on Kamalapura Road, a few hundred metres south of the Mahanavami Dibba. Karnataka Tourism includes it among Hampi's key attractions, and the Archaeological Survey of India mentions a variety of ponds and tanks among the important architectural remains of the city.

We did not find a primary source describing the building, so details such as its design, builder and date are left out. hampi.in, a secondary guide, lists the Queen's Bath as open 6am to 6pm with free entry. This is the only source found for the fee and hours, so both are marked needs verification. It lies south of the Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables and Hazara Rama Temple by OSM coordinates, so it fits on a walk through the royal centre.
